Contraband (Italian: Luca il contrabbandiere) is a 1980 poliziotteschi film directed by Lucio Fulci. It is notable for its considerable level of violence and gore.
Plot[]
Luca Di Angelo (Fabio Testi) works for a notorious smuggler in Naples, Italy. However an up-and-coming French crime boss known as the Marsigliese sets off a gang war, killing off his brother and a number of other smugglers. Luca has to join forces with rival smugglers, mafiosos and well the local police to take down the French smuggler when he abducts Luca's wife. Despite sharing the title of the 2012 film Contraband starring Mark Wahlberg, the two are unrelated, with the latter being a remake of the Icelandic film Reykjavik-Rotterdam.
